The Swim Classic and Champ Meet entries are attached.  Results and times from last night’s meet do not show up in the entries but were considered in making final selections for Champ Meet and the Classic.  Times, consistency, legal strokes, and team points were all considered in developing the roster over the past week or so.  

For swimmers in the Classic, the league rules provide that the winner of each event at the Classic (except 7 YO and 6 and under events) is automatically entered in the Champ Meet.  We have multiple age groups and events where Penguins may win their Classic event and move on to that individual event at Champ Meet.  There are also multiple swimmers in relays at Champ Meet, but who also get to swim individual events at the Classic—so the swimmers are in both meets.  At the Classic, there are some 9-10 swimmers who will swim up on 11-12 relays.  Unfortunately, due to league limitations, not all swimmers are on a relay at Classic.  The Classic only has a mixed free relay, no medley.  Lots of moving parts to finalize the entries given the league rules, so please closely review the entries.

Details about the Classic and Champ Meets were in last week’s Penguins Press and will be shared again in the final Penguins Press of the season that will be sent this weekend. The coaches will review the entries with the swimmers at practice tomorrow. 

Finally, there are still two open volunteer jobs for the Classic that the team must fill.  If you have a swimmer in the Classic but are not yet signed up to work, please do so.
